Dear Omnicharge Backers,
Happy Holidays!
It has been a very exciting year for us. Having launched the campaign in July, and taken Omnicharge into production and shipping within the same year, is something we are very proud of!
As a first-time campaigner, our goal has always been to deliver to you a product that will exceed your expectations. We strive to deliver a product that is innovative, functional, and of the best quality. But as a young team, we underestimated the amount of time it would take to accomplish this.
We recognize that many backers have not received their Omnicharge yet. For some, this was meant as a Christmas present. We apologize for this. If we had any way to speed things up and deliver to everyone on time, believe us, we would have done it.
So far the limited backers that have received their Omnicharge have given very positive feedback. We are happy and thankful to hear those. Our entire team is currently still at our factory to push out a larger shipment so more backers can get their Omnicharge sooner.
We also want to take this opportunity to explain the nature of crowdfunding to some backers that are new to the community. It is not an e-commerce purchase, but rather a "pledge" to a team that is trying to create a new product that we all believe in, and dream of having. It is not an easy path that we are on together, and we cannot do this without you believing in us and supporting us through all the challenges. We appreciate the risk you have taken and cherish the trust you have placed in us. We promise to deliver the best product, no matter what type of challenges our team is faced with.
As we speak, we are getting a few thousand finished packages ready for shipment this week to our US version backers. These orders will be delivered no later than mid January. More Omnicharge are being made at this time, and we will continue to ship them out as they are ready. We ask for your patience as we complete this logistical operation - shipping lithium battery products to 130+ countries is not an easy task. We ask for your continued support to make this come true.

We’d like to thank our backers for their support and dedication, and are very excited to announce that we have completed our most critical safety certifications! It has been an exciting journey with many challenges, and we are finally at the finish line. Production officially started last week, and shipping is just around the corner!
We have been working on optimizing our efficiency, and will continue to grow our production as we move along. This is our estimated production schedule:
We will arrange several batch shipments for each production cycle. Bulk shipments should arrive at our California warehouse 7 days after exiting the factory. For US backers, we'll be using a ground service that usually takes 5 - 8 business days. For backers outside the US, we'll be shipping your orders using an international courier straight from our factory in China. Exact delivery dates depend on your address, product model, pledge number, etc.
We will lock down your orders a few days before they are ready for production. We have already locked down the surveys for Omni Standard US models, which are being produced at this moment. If you still want to update your backer survey, please do so in the next few days -- you can upgrade to DC-out, select your DC cable, or change your shipping address via the survey. We will also email you the tracking number after your order is shipped.

Q: When can I expect my Omnicharge?
A: It takes somewhere between 10 to 20 days for you to receive your order after it’s been manufactured. For backers of US models, you should receive your orders from mid December to early January. For backers of the C/F/A socket models, most of you should receive your orders in January.
Q: Will I get my Omnicharge before Christmas?
A: We know some of you bought this as a gift for your loved ones, and hoped to have it by Christmas. The holiday season is always the busiest time of year for shipping companies, which makes it difficult to predict exact delivery dates. Many of our US models should make it before Christmas, and the rest should arrive shortly after. We are working very hard to get your products delivered as soon as possible.
Q: How is my Omnicharge made?
A: As we ramp up production, we’ll be releasing videos from the factory to show you the production line and quality assurance. Stay tuned for the next update.

We understand that our backers have been eagerly awaiting our newest update. We apologize for the delay. The Omnicharge team has been hard at work getting everything ready. We have some solid progress we’d like to share with you.

All final packages are ready in our warehouse! Here’s a sneak peek of what they look like.
New DC Cable Selections
Many of you have requested that we offer DC cables for MacBooks with MagSafe2 connectors, and Surface Pro 3, 4, and surface book. We have listened to your advice: Backers with the DC-Out upgrade will now have two new cable options: Barrel-to-MagSafe 2, and Barrel-to-Surface.

If your Omnicharge PRO is upgraded with DC-Out, you will be able to choose a complimentary DC cable via your backer survey. If you haven't upgraded yet, you can still do so via backer survey before the lockdown date of Nov. 21st.
Production & Certification Progress
All the raw materials are in our warehouse; automatic robotic arms for soldering are installed and programmed; production lines are set up; and production staff are fully trained. Mass production will begin once we receive all final certification approvals. We are in the process of completing the UN38.3, FCC, CE, and other required tests.
Production will begin with the Standard US versions, and move on to the PRO US versions, followed by the new international socket models. We will also ramp up manufacturing capacity as we move along. Our team will soon be filming Omnicharge production from the factory floor - stay tuned for the next update!

We've already received completed surveys from about 90% of our backer base. For those of you who have recently backed, we have extended the survey deadline.
More Versatile Euro Socket
Based on many of our backers' suggestions, we have decided to add Socket Type A to our EuroPlug version, making it more internationally compatible and travel friendly. Now backers from China, Southeast Asia and many other regions can choose the 230V Socket C/F/A version (previously "EuroPlug/230V") without worrying about adapters. For those of you that have selected the EuroPlug, your units will be upgraded automatically.
Adjusted Delivery Dates
Due to recent developments in the Samsung Note 7 battery safety issue, lithium-ion battery related supply chain are experiencing stricter restrictions across the board, including certification agencies, battery factories, and shipping service providers. All li-ion battery products now have to go through a more stringent and slower certification process. As a result, have had to delay our fulfillment start by one month to the end of November. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this unexpected change may cause for you, and really appreciate continued support from all of our backers.
Safety of our backers and their devices has always been a top priority for Omnicharge. Despite the stricter certification process, we are confident that our product will pass all the existing certification requirements and any new regulatory rules that we expect to come into effect. We do apologize for this unforeseeable delay in our delivery schedule, and assure you that we are 100% committed to getting your Omnicharge to your hands as soon as we can.
