***Does Omnicharge ship to my country? How much will shipping cost?
We have expanded shipping to over 100 countries, using FedEx International Economy or equivalent solutions. So chances are Omnicharge is probably available for shipping to your country. Please select your perk and enter your country to view the availability and shipping cost. ***When is Omnicharge expected to ship?
Omnicharge is expected to start shipping in November. As soon as we confirm our backers regions, we will provide a tracking number to tell you when you should expect your Omnicharge.
***How will my order be shipped?
We will be shipping with the most suitable premium courier which will vary between countries. All shipments will have tracking numbers which will be emailed to you once the delivery has been shipped.
***Which Omnicharge should I get?
Omnicharge comes in two sizes; 13,600mah and 20,400mah. If you are a “power user,” we suggest you get the 20,400mAh, which supports the most high-end 85 watt MacBook Pro.
***Why would I buy Omnicharge over any other power bank?
Most power banks are limited to only being able to charge a cellphone. Some established brands offer AC/DC power supplies, but they are big and bulky, and also fail to charge your most important device: your laptop. Omnicharge is the first power supply that comes with a smart power management system that not only charges your cellphone, but also your MacBook Pro or other laptop, and because it is designed to be compact, it fits inside your everyday bag.
***Can Omnicharge really charge my laptop?
Yes, as long as the device’s voltage output is below 65W (13.600mAh) or 100W (20.400mAh). Omnicharge not only charges professional laptops like your MacBook Pro, but also cellphones, tablets, and any other device that requires a portable power socket.
***Does Omnicharge support flow-through charging?
Yes, Omnicharge is the first power supply that simultaneously charges while also charging your devices. Wake up in the morning and know that all of your devices and backup power supply are ready to go.
***What do you mean by universal charging port, what can I use to charge the Omnicharge?
A universal charging port means that any cable you can find at work or at home (as long as it is a barrel type plug) will charge Omnicharge. Examples include; laptop adapters, speaker chargers, home appliance chargers, toy chargers with the power ranges listed in the manual that accompanied your power bank. We have also provided a USB line if you want to charge from your laptop.
***Does Omnicharge get overheated?
We have seen several reviews on Amazon of existing AC/DC power banks that have overheating issues. Because we have designed our own patented smart power management system, Omnicharge does not overheat beyond normal operating parameters. The heat generated by the charging process will get roughly as hot as most laptop adapters. Omnicharge also comes with a safety auto shut-off feature to protect both your devices and Omnicharge from ever overheating.
***Will the Omnicharge voltage be compatible with my country?
Omnicharge comes with AC 120V and 150V DC default setting, but after listening to our backers from different countries and regions, we are excited to offer international backers the choice to choose whether they want to switch to a 220V AC/300V DC output. Omnicharge comes with A/B socket type for the US and C/F socket type for the EU.
***In terms of efficiency, will the 220V version be lower than the 120V version?
The difference in efficiency between 120V and 220V AC is minimal. Compared to 120V version, output efficiency on 220V will be lower by only 1-3%. Usual rule is: the higher output the lower efficiency but Omnicharge is packed with smart power management system and we managed to lower efficiency loss to a minimal rate.
***What is the battery life of the Omnicharge?
Omnicharge comes with a battery management system that actively manages the health and life cycle of the Panasonic Lithium Ion 18650 battery cells. The Omnicharge has the longest battery life of any power bank on the market, and under ideal circumstances, if used every day the battery will last between two and three years. We are currently developing a power user loyalty program that allow backers to send us their units once their battery life cycle is depleted in exchange for new Omnicharge versions at discounted prices. ***What about the fast charger?
Our really compact fast charger is compatible with all voltages internationally and comes with a standard Type A socket option (used in USA, Canada, Japan, and Mexico). If your country does not support this type, you may use a travel adapter.
***Is Omnicharge using modified or pure sine wave?
Our AC/DC output is using a modified sine wave which support charging of most common electronics.
***Can I really use any solar panel?
Our universal DC 4.5V - 36V charging port allows Omnicharge to take a charge from ANY solar panel. Our Omni Pro’s maximum charging power is 45W while Omni Standard is 34W. If you are using a 60W solar panel, the charging power will be limited to 45W (or 34W) due to our smart power management system.
***Can I take Omnicharge on an airplane?
Both Omnicharge Pro and Standard can be with you in your carry-on luggage. The capacity of Omnicharge Standard (13600mAh/49Wh Max Output 65W) and Omnicharge Pro (20400mAh/73Wh Max Output 100W) falls within Federal Aviation Administration’s safety limit of 100Wh. BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
